After four years of intense design and development work, Candela kicked off serial production at the end of 2018. We are now delivering the first batch of boats to customers – super exciting! – and during the fall we’ll start scaling up production. For that effort we want to recruit a number of passionate and talented team members.
As operational purchaser, you have an end-to-end responsibility to ensure that all of the 1000 SKU:s we use to build a Candela are available when needed. This includes purchasing, developing our supplier relationships, and monitoring deliveries and exception handling. Soon enough you’ll hopefully know the warehouse like the back of your hand. You will also be an instrumental part of our transition from an R&D-focused organisation to a large-volume producer and help to establish processes systems to make that happen.
We’re more interested in you as person than what you’ve specifically done in the past – initiative, drive and warmness trump all. An eye to detail is a good start, and given the sheer number of things to keep track of it’s probably not bad if organising things makes you tick. The role includes a lot of interaction, both with the suppliers and the rest of the team, mostly in English. Finally, a basic understanding of the main components of a boat is a benefit.
We are currently fifteen people based in our Gåshaga facility on Lidingö, growing fast. As a team we are very diverse, covering ten nationalities and specialties ranging from electronics design to composite lamination. We love and are 100% focused on what we do, but are at the same time conscious about finding an acceptable balance with our lives outside Candela. And being good to each other is key – work is hard but should be fun. Candela ia a great place to work. And an insanely cool product.
