Designing the drivetrain
Given that we’re the only electric active hydrofoiling leisure boatmakers in the world right now, at least in full serial production, we had to reinvent or reimagine many of the parts that go into our boats.
The lower unit and gear house, here animated for the first time, is one of the many things we’ve had to design ourselves.
It’s tricky or impossible to find a watercraft of a similar size as the Candela C-7 on the water with a drive unit that is this sleek.
